There are two main printout methods: direct – thermal (DT) and thermal-transfer (TT).
In direct-thermal printing method a special thermosensitive paper is used, that changes its colour upon influence of high temperature emited by printhead.
In case of thermal-tranfer technique, an information can be printed on labels made of different materials, like paper, cadrboard, foils, textiles.
Both techniques can be used in office printing as well as in industrial environment. I depends on their construction and what is more important on productivit, which is defined as a number of daily printed labels.
