The M5900RVe uses the latest RISC processor technology to significantly improve throughput and imaging response time. The new M5900RVe is in a class by itself, it is not a thermal transfer printer with the ribbon mechanism removed, but designed from the start for industrial direct thermal applications.

Long Life Printhead - The M5900RVe incorporates a printhead designed for long life direct thermal printing. Its warranty and life expecting are many times the typical industry standards. With a warranty of one year or two million linear inches and expected life of up to 4 million inches, printhead replacement cost savings alone will more than pay for the printer when compared to other printers available.

Memory - The M5900RVe printer comes with a full 18 MB of onboard memory STANDARD! Enough memory for storing multiple fonts and graphics without the need for optional memory in most applications. For extreme memory requirement applications an optional 4 MB of Flash memory or up to an additional 16 MB of PCMCIA memory can be added.

Windows® Compatible - Users still have the option of producing high quality labels by using either SATO's native command language (SCL) or quality label design and production software such as SATO's Label Wizard. Now, the ability to easily and efficiently produce labels direct from Windows® applications such as WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS and others is also an option.

Interface Connections - Choose from one of SATO's standard high-speed, bi-directional Plug-In Interface Modules: IEEE1284 Parallel, or High-Speed Serial (up to 57.6k bps). Also available are optional Plug-In Interface Modules for Twinax/Coax and Ethernet (10/100BaseT) and RS422/485.
